Anyone who has ever stood in front of a burning pan or deep fryer knows how quickly cooking oil and fat can self-ignite. Now the wrong extinguishing agent, such as B. water, and a so-called fat explosion occurs. Since burning fat or oil is already several hundred degrees Celsius hot, added water evaporates suddenly. This explosive evaporation causes the burning fat to be thrown out of the container.
Special operating conditions require special solutions. Jockel grease fire extinguisher
contain a highly concentrated salt solution that causes saponification when sprayed onto burning oil. This will smother the fire.
Jockel has the F 6 J Plus in its range as a special device. This device is filled with a special foam and can be used in classes A and B and even in fire class F when fighting cooking oil and cooking fat fires.
