Fires in the home or in the company are a horror for each of us. Because if there is a real fire, the flames can usually no longer be stopped without causing any major damage. 30% of fires occur due to electricity and therefore in connection with electrical devices. If the fire could be extinguished as it was starting, this would prevent greater damage. And that's exactly why we now have Amfe - the automatic fire extinguishing unit in our KFT range.

Secure control cabinets or server cabinets!

A fire can quickly occur, especially in control cabinets, server cabinets and systems. Amfe can be retrofitted quickly and easily without having to connect the world's smallest fire extinguisher to the electrical circuit. Amfe extinguishes fires as soon as they start, thereby preventing major damage from occurring. The advantages at a glance:

  • Can be retrofitted anywhere
  • Immediately protected
  • Automatic fire detection
  • Automatic deletion
  • Maintenance free
  • No CO2 necessary
  • Cost-effective

In addition, Amfe can also be connected to the fire alarm system (BMA). Can be combined with smoke detectors for smoldering fires. And the deletion can also be initiated remotely.

How does the Amfe work?

Amfe - How the automatic mini fire extinguishing unit works

NOVEC from 3M is used as an extinguishing agent. This is a technical extinguishing fluid with a 7x higher extinguishing ability than Co2. This means the Amfe cartridges can be 7x smaller than a Co2 cartridge. NOVEC is harmless to humans and there is no risk of suffocation. The extinguishing agent does not damage any other electrical components because there is no electrical conductivity. Another big advantage is that a flash over cannot occur because it cannot be ignited again by oxygen.

How to reduce the costs of your business with Amfe.

Anyone who uses Amfe as device-integrated fire protection can save some of their insurance premiums. For manufacturers, for example, it is about product liability/recall cost insurance or for operators it is about fire/business interruption insurance. Because Amfe is accepted by insurance companies as integrated fire protection and can therefore have a positive effect on premiums. It's best to ask your insurance company directly whether this is the case. This way you can calculate how many years it will take to pay for itself.
